KIEWIT GOLD ZONE DRILL RESULTS

April 29, 2005

Dumont Nickel, our joint venture partner, has received and released the results of the first ten drill holes in the Kiewit Gold Zone (www.dumontnickel.com/news/20050427.htm).  These holes were drilled in a 500 meter by 500 meter area in the southern quarter of the Kiewit zone.  Every one of the holes encountered what appears to be the same mineralized structure as the five holes drilled last summer.  The average grade of the most recent holes was slightly above those of the initial five holes, averaging over 0.8 grams per ton.  There appears to be a substantial higher-grade core at 1.1-1.9 grams per ton, surrounded by a lower-grade halo at 0.2-0.7 grams per ton.

We are particularly encouraged by three factors:

(i) The consistency of the results and the continuity of grade.  This suggests that we have a continuous gold mineralized layer that may extend for the two kilometers over which we have found surface outcrops.  IF the Kiewit zone is 2 kilometers long by 500 meters wide by 50 meters thick, IF it has only one continuous layer, and IF its average grade is 0.8 grams per ton, it would contain 3 million ounces of gold.

(ii) The fact that this appears to be a gold-only system without any “bad actors” and amenable to simple cyanidation in a low-cost heap leach operation (the most common method of large-scale gold production).  A number of samples have been submitted for bulk leaching test work.

(iii) The discovery of four new zones of similar size and characteristics to the Kiewit Gold Zone.  If these are also gold-bearing, they could be carbon copies of the Kiewit Gold Zone and significantly increase the amount of gold mineralization in the system. Two of these, immediately to the north of Kiewit, have reported gold from surface outcrops.

Finally, we would note that Dumont’s surface sampling had showed trace elements suggesting that there may be several gold-bearing layers.  Our present estimates are based on the assumption of only one gold-bearing layer.  We expect the potential for several layers to be tested by deep core drill holes before the end of the summer.  If there are several layers, these could also significantly increase the amount of gold mineralization in the system.
