October 30, 2006 PRESS RELEASE Clifton Mining Company Inc. (OTC : CFTN.PK) THE KIEWIT ZONE ADVANCES TOWARD EARLY GOLD PRODUCTION A feasibility study covering the Kiewit Gold Zone is in progress with the anticipation of advancing a portion of the deposit into early production. The study, which commenced in May, includes initial open pit engineering and leach pad design, as well as column leaching tests on samples of the gold bearing ore. The study was undertaken by Dumont Nickel, Clifton=s joint venture partner. Once finished, the study will provide a basis for establishing certified gold reserves on at least a portion of the deposit, while drilling contiues on the remaining project area.
