Founded in 1998, American Biotech Labs (ABL; www.americanbiotechlabs.com) has developed and begun worldwide sales of a class of products based on the company’s patented nano-catalytic silver hydrosol (SilverSol Technology™). ABL’s technology platform and product lines, based on extensive research and development performed by the company prior to the company’s formal establishment, show great promise in the treatment and control of infectious organisms.

Headquartered in Alpine, Utah, ABL was organized to help people contend with many of the most pressing health challenges and diseases that afflict humankind today. The company’s nano-catalytic SilverSol Technology disrupts microbes’ ability to survive and reproduce, even in low parts-per-million concentrations. Additionally, the process is catalytic in nature, so the silver in ABL products retains its “resonance” (consistency, power and efficacy) despite changes in temperature or conditions, remaining available and active in the elimination of microbes.

Early testing has demonstrated that ABL products only destroy so-called “bad” microbes; they do not kill or adversely affect the “good bacteria.” Extensive testing has also shown the products to be completely non-toxic, with no negative effect on human or primate cells. ABL products are odorless, colorless and essentially flavorless in most variants.

In testing performed by a variety of respected laboratories and researchers, ABL’s nano-catalytic SilverSol Technology has consistently demonstrated the ability to destroy a wide range of microbes – bacteria, viruses and molds – including some of the most harmful pathogens known to humanity, such as malaria, Avian flu, Anthrax, E. coli, MRSA (hospital “super bug”), Salmonella, Hepatitis B, Bubonic Plague and Staph.

This unique and effective technology has been awarded three patents by the U.S. Patent Office and one by the Japan Patent Office, with many additional patents pending, ranging from product construction and composition to use protection.

Current Products

ABL nano-catalytic SilverSol Technology is currently being sold in five product categories. 

I. ABL’s ASAP-AGX-32® product has been approved by the U.S. EPA as a hard surface disinfectant for use in hospital operating and patient rooms, dental offices, schools, businesses and homes. The disinfectant has no color, no smell and no chemicals, and is approved to kill the most abundant and problematic bacteria, mold, and yeast, in just ten minutes of contact time. It is completely non-toxic to humans, even in high concentrations. This product line has proven so effective and non-toxic in killing bacteria that the EPA recently approved it as a dental water line disinfectant, which is currently being distributed by Henry Schien, Inc.

II. ABL also has products that are sold as health supplements, with the proven ability to help boost the immune system. Millions of bottles of the supplement have been sold worldwide. ABL is a supplier to 5,500 General Nutrition Center (GNC) stores and thousands of other health store outlets under the label “Silver Biotics®.” The company’s flagship product, ASAP Solution®, is marketed through various outlets. ABL products are also marketed under various private labels in nations throughout the world.

III. ABL has developed two wound-care products that are currently undergoing the FDA approval process, expected to be complete in 2007, for sale as both over-the-counter and prescription FDA-approved products. These gel-based products are being approved for the control of infection and the treatment of burns, wounds and other related ailments. In initial testing, ABL products have demonstrated results far superior in these applications to alternative comparison solutions. A separate study has shown great promise in promoting natural healing for radiation burns and sunburn.

IV. ABL Ultimate Skin and Body Care, a cosmetic body care product shown to promote natural healing, is currently available to doctors, and the company anticipates that it will be available to the general public in the second quarter of 2007.

V. Finally, ABL SilverSol Technology has proven to be highly effective in enhancing the immune system, and in combating infectious diseases. Initial results outside the U.S. have shown the product to be extremely well-suited to the treatment of Malaria, the second leading cause of death by infection worldwide, and the number one killer of children in Africa (see detail below). Positive results from initial testing led the Food and Drug Board of Ghana in 2001 to approve ABL product for sale as a drug in the homeopathic category.

Management Team

American Biotech Labs is an independent, privately held company whose management team is comprised of seasoned executives. Managing director William D. Moeller, Ph.D., received the 2006 Congressional Medal of Distinction, and other members of the team have extensive experience in the silver, scientific and business communities.

Selected Successes

• William Beaumont Army Medical Center has proven ABL’s SilverSol Technology effective at killing all three forms of leishmaniasis, which causes the “Baghdad Boils” infecting U.S. soldiers, at a concentration of just 1-2 parts per million.

• Independent tests on 54 subjects with advanced malaria in four African clinics have demonstrated full patient recovery, in an average of just five days. In Ghana, it has been estimated that more than 1,000 advanced malaria patients have used donated ABL products to achieve full recovery, as reported in the U.S. Congressional Record, with no reported failures. The company is undertaking new joint venture studies with a variety of governments and non-governmental organizations throughout the world to perform additional testing of ABL products for malaria, Dengue fever and other life-threatening illnesses.

• ABL has completed more than 80 studies from 38 military hospitals, government labs and institutions, Universities, independent EPA- and FDA-approved labs, national and international hospitals, clinics and cancer care facilities.

• Thousands of in-vitro tests for anti-bacterial, anti-yeast, anti-viral and anti-mold purposes have been completed on ABL products against some of the deadliest pathogens in existence, with excellent results.

• ABL has been invited to be part of the U.S. Special Operations Medical Association, and has accepted. The company has donated product that has been distributed by doctors, fire fighters, air marshals, and other health and emergency professionals, and by the Homeland Security Department and other federal officials in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters.
